"One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feelings. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child." -Carl Jung
My name is Margaret Pardy, and here is some information about me:
I graduated from the BEd program at St. Thomas University in July 2011 with a GPA of 3.947. I have successfully completed two internships; one in a kindergarten classroom at New Maryland Elementary school in New Maryland, New Brunswick, and one in a grade one classroom at Park Street Elementary School in Fredericton, New Brunswick. In addition to my classroom experiences I volunteered at Peacock Primary School in Happy Valley – Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as the two schools in which I completed my internships. I also supervised a once-a-week student-led group, "The Spelling Club," at Park Street Elementary School, in which I offered ideas and insights to the students from kindergarten to grade three. I am currently substitute teaching at Peacock Primary School, Queen of Peace Middle School - which are both in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador - and Sheshatshiu Innu School in Sheshatshiu, Labrador.
It is my goal to use my enthusiastic and compassionate nature in an elementary classroom setting. I feel that these qualities, along with my ability to differentiate lessons and use classroom technology successfully, make me a suitable candidate for upcoming teaching positions.
